Soldiers commissioned satin jackets embroidered with dragons, tigers, eagles, maps of Japan, Asian motifs and military insignia as personal souvenirs. Originally intended for soldiers, they gradually became cult pieces of Japanese vintage and military heritage.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMilitary souvenir jackets also developed from existing uniform designs, including MA-1, M-65, WWII tanker jackets, A-2, G-1, GI and USMC jackets.
